ABOUT US

Nestled in the scenic hills of southern Vermont, the Brattleboro North KOA has a rich history rooted in American travel culture. Originally opened in 1941 as the Coolidge Highway Gift Shop, the property welcomed visitors along the historic U.S. Route 5—later renamed the Calvin Coolidge Memorial Highway. Over the decades, the site evolved from a roadside gift shop and rustic cabins into a full-service KOA campground, reflecting the shift from early motor courts to modern RV camping.

Since becoming a KOA in 1971, the campground has offered travelers a peaceful retreat with modern amenities, including full hook-up RV sites, cozy cabins, a swimming pool, and family-friendly activities. Under the care of several dedicated owners, the campground has grown while preserving its welcoming charm and historical roots. Today, it continues to offer a unique blend of classic roadside hospitality and updated comforts for campers exploring Vermont and beyond.
